UEN Virtual Field Trips

Remember the days when we could load our students on the bus with packed lunches and comfortable shoes? Remember the excitement on their faces? Being away from their lockers, books and paper was somehow magical, even if it was just for one day. Instead, they got to engage in something through first-hand observation or experience. In the words of Archie Bunker "Those Were the Days!"

Meet the Virtual Field Trip! The Utah Education Network has produced an incredible site for educators to use with our students. Organized by subject, this mammoth resource has a great selection of websites that are organized into virtual field trips in the classroom. So, whether you are visiting a 1920s farmhouse, or touring Yellowstone in the Winter, you are sure to find something that appeals to you.

These are the hyper links students follow.

These virtual field trips can take our students to places too far away to travel or too expensive too visit. If you are fortunate to have access to a computer lab, let your students experience these places on their own.
