Boolify

Sometimes it is difficult for our students to understand web searching. I have found a tool that makes it easier for my students to understand their search. Boolify illustrates the logic of their search, by showing them how each change to their search instantly changes their results.

Sample
Washington: 321,000,000 hits
not State: 141,000,000 hits
not President: 99,880,000 hits
and cherry 129,000 hits
and bloom 37,100 hits

Bonus
Don't miss the pre-made lesson plans provided by Boolify.

  1. Greetings Robin,

Thanks for mentioning Boolify! We're in the midst of revising our lesson plans and creating other tools. You might be interested in the other tools online already, at http://www.glean.org.

And, if there's something you think is missing, please let us know -- we're constantly creating new things!

    Cheers,
